I am a self taught artist who has always sketched and painted since childhood. Recently I have taken classes with Andrew Tischler and Stuart Davis. I admire classic art and artists such as Rembrandt and an impressionist like John Singer Sargent.
I am a wife, mother and a grandmother! I worked in the Healthcare Industry for 27 years but then one fine day I realized I need to pursue my passion which is oil painting!
Painting is like riding a bicycle since you never forget how to do it but still since I was at home during Covid-19 pandemic, I took some online classes with artists I found had a similar style of oil painting as mine which is the classic style of painting so I subscribed to a few classes with Andrew Tischler who paints a lot of details making the painting look realistic. I quickly realized that not only was painting a joy for me but also very therapeutic and meditative.
I was surprised at my creations and at the insistent of my friends and family I decided to sell them and soon people started asking if I would sell a particular painting to them. Finally when I had over 20 paintings and a pretty extensive portfolio I decided to launch my company "Art of Meditation". Every painting of mine has a very strong message!

My inspiration is my life which has been a very productive one with a world of experiences. My grand daughters are my motivation who encourage me every day.
My art technique is old classic and very detailed. I have done a few pieces with the palate knife but I am most comfortable with paint, medium, brushes and a primed canvas. I love painting portraits where I can bring out the feelings and emotions of the subject to life. I have done a few portraits on commission!
As I said in my introduction , I always dabbled in paints and sketches and when I was in College, I took art as an elective and started painting copies of famous artists mostly Rembrandt and other classical artists from the Renaissance period. I stopped painting for about 20 years but after resigning from my job I took some classes and very quickly was back on track. My highlight was making portraits of my grand daughters and the grand babies of my friend!
